Canopy 2.0 Program Overview

Two Mentors and Two Semesters
Work with each mentor for a full semester, meeting 1-on-1 and in groups, for in-depth, consistent guidance.
Additional Faculty
Based on Canopy 2.0 Cohort's interests and needs, faculty will curate a round of workshops featuring new faculty to touch on specific subjects and techniques. Canopy 2.0 artists are also welcome to attend in person drawing salons with Loren Erdrich.
Group Critique
Artist will review work with an intimate cohort of 10 artist peers + 1 mentor, and visiting critics. For Fall 2024, Sangram Majumdar, David Humphrey, Angelina Gualdoni.
Guest Critics + Artist Lectures
Exclusive access to esteemed Guest Critics and Visiting Artists. Visiting artists and lecturers will be selected by Canopy faculty based on Cohort's interests and needs.
1-on-1s
First semester: Exclusive office hours with additional/current Canopy Faculty. For Fall 2024, Matt Phillips Second semester: Real talk + feedback about professional practices for artists with art world professionals.
Writing Edits
Artist statement edits by a guest editor, Amanda Nedham, who completed the first round of artist statement edits for artists in Canopy 1.0. This allows for continuity within artist statement edits through the program.
Panel Review
The final semester of Canopy 2.0 will culminate in a Panel Review for each cohort. The panel will consist of your 2nd Semester Mentor, your 1st Semester Mentor or a Canopy Faculty, and an invited esteemed Visiting Critic!
